“My background is in conference and video production, working on product launches and promotional videos for companies such as Goodyear and Steelite. I re-trained as a garden designer, working at Chelsea Flower show and went on to win a RHS Silver medal at Gardener’s World Live. I also undertook all the PR work on both of these gardens, achieving an interview with Nick Owen broadcast by the BBC Gardener’s World programme.
My career took a different direction about 18 years ago when I began working in the charity sector in fundraising and PR for both national and locally based charities including St John Ambulance, Penny Brohn Cancer Care and The Royal British Legion. Most recently I worked as Marketing Manager for RE Today, a not-for-profit organisation working in the education sector, before starting my own business in January 2016.
I share my office, which overlooks Ilkley Moor, with two miniature dachshunds.”
